Featured Presentation:

DBA Mistakes and Performance Issues

Mike Walsh, Founder and SQL Server Consultant Straight Path Solutions

Mike will discuss some of the worst things he has seen, including DBA mistakes and performance issues. There will be plenty of time for discussion so please bring your DBA and performance questions and issues with you, and we'll discuss them with Mike or laugh while we stump him.

About Mike:
Mike Walsh is an experienced SQL Server professional and has worked with SQL Server since version 6.5. He has been in the role of DBA, developer, and "performance guy" but always leans on his DBA and tuning experience. He has been awarded the SQL Server (now Data Platform) designation 5 times since 2011 and is a current MVP. He runs the Relational Engine practice at Linchpin People and is a Managing Director there. He has spoken several times at PASS and regional events. In his spare time he raises a small flock of Icelandic Sheep, Chicken, Bees and other farm animals with his family in rural New Hampshire and is a call Firefighter in his small town with a primarily on-call/volunteer force.
